His Comforting Love
"When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold, how he loved him!"
Jesus is not only our Saviour; He is also our comforter in times of sorrow. He comforts us with His love and wipes our tears away with His tender kisses. The heart of Jesus was moved with compassion for the ones who were weeping for Lazarus. Jesus wept because He loved Lazarus just as He loves us and weeps for us. He understands how it feels to hurt because He also was hurt when He was here on earth. He felt the same emotions that we feel.
Our precious Saviour hung on that cruel cross of agony and excruciating pain and paid the price for our sins. He had been tortured and beaten beyond recognition. He was bruised and bleeding. Every drop of blood that flowed from Jesus was shed for us. I also believe as He hung on the cross that He wept for all of the times that we would be criticized, rejected, ridiculed and abused.
Our Saviourís heart is not only filled with compassion for us, it is also filled with comforting love for you and for me. Allow Jesus to comfort you as only He can. There is no one like Jesus. No one loves you like Jesus loves you.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your comforting love. Thank You for loving us so much that You died for us. Thank You for always being here for us and for being our comforter and encourager. We love You and we appreciate all that You do for us.
