From Our Hearts

"But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth."
Psalm 86:15
King James Version

Heavenly Father, we give You thanks for loving us so much. Thank You for being patient with us and for having mercy on us when we hurt You and fail You. May we, Your children, love others unconditionally and forgive those who hurt us from our hearts just as You forgive us from Your heart. Help us to be children that bring You happiness instead of being children that bring You sadness. Amen.

If we do not forgive people who have hurt us from our hearts, we have not forgiven them. All we did was give them lip service when we told them that we forgave them. How dare you and I go to a Holy God and ask Him to forgive us when we aren't willing to forgive those who have hurt us? May God have mercy on us and forgive us.

Have you forgiven those who have hurt you from your heart or are you still harboring bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness in your heart? If you havenít forgiven those who have hurt you from your heart, not only are you sinning you are also breaking our Heavenly Father's heart.

We read in the Bible "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). Are you still harboring resentment and bitterness in your heart and refuse to forgive those who have hurt you? If so, know that you are hurting God and breaking His heart.
